OPAL Initiative
Policy Forum on ‘Mainstreaming Open Educational Practices’ will be organized in the framework of the ‘Open Educational Quality Initiative (OPAL)’ and ‘CONCEDE’ Initiatives (UNESCO HQ, Paris, 14 November 2011).
The OPAL Initiative aims to promote open educational practices - practices which support the production, use and reuse of open educational resources (OER). Open educational practices help learners, educational professionals, organizational leaders, and policy makers improve quality in higher education and adult education and training. The CONCEDE Initiative focuses on quality issues related to user-generated content with the aim of promoting concepts of quality in vocational and technical education, higher education and adult learnin.
